Why eating healthy is important?

In our busy lives, we hardly have the time to eat healthily. We grab a bite satisfy our hunger and our taste buds. Most of us are unaware of the health hazards of eating such unhealthy food might pose. Many people in order to lose weight tend to stop eating, but little do they know that they are spoiling their health. Our body requires the right amount of vitamins, minerals, protein, fibre, carbohydrates, fats etc. Each of these nutrients plays a specific role in our body, and if our body lacks a particular nutrient, then we will have to face the necessary consequences.

The following are some of the reasons why we need to eat healthily:

To provide energy to our body:
All of us have various things to do every day and to work, our body requires energy. Without energy, we will not have the strength to do anything. We get energy by eating food. Our body gets all the needed nutrients and minerals from the food we eat. And, all these nutrients are obtained only when we eat healthy food and not just any food. Fast foods which many people eat these days are filled with unhealthy fat which can harm our body when we consume them daily.

Stimulates growth hormones:
When our body has the necessary nutrients and minerals, it will boost our growth hormones which will increase our height and weight as we grow.

Immune system:
When we eat healthily, we will develop a strong immune system. When we have a strong immune system, our body will be able to fight sickness and other diseases. Our immune system will fight against all viruses and bacteria which may cause harm to your body.

Healthy food acts as a medicine:
In many cases, food acts like medicine. When we feel tired and sick, if we eat healthy food, we will feel energised and healthy. Avoiding food can cause acidity and thus it is essential to eat food at frequent intervals.

Overcome stress:
Most of us have a hectic job, and we strive hard to complete the tasks assigned to us. But we often forget to eat healthily and end putting our health at risk. If you see people who are stressed all the time, they are the ones who neglect healthy eating food. If you happen to have a friend who is stress all the time, ask him/her to eat, and you will be able to see that they will be relieved from stress.

To keep your body fit:
If you want to have a fit body, you need to eat healthily. For people who are interested in building their muscles, they need a lot of protein to build their body. Without protein, you cannot expect any growth in your muscles.
